Talk:Celtic Catholic Church

At what point did the CCC enter negotiations with the Patriarch of Antioch?
- We have not done so. I re-read the article trying to find something which would indicate that we had, but I don't see anything. What is causing the false impression? It should be edited, whatever it is. (This answer is written by a priest of the CCC who is reasonably knowlegable about what is going on.) --Sean Lotz 18:42, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

- Sean, the anonymous commentor may be referring to Western Orthodoxy, which is for the most part under the jurisdiction of the Patriarch of Antioch, since the article says that the CCC sees itself as both Catholic and Orthodox. Perhaps some rewording would remove that implication. --Jfruh (talk) 21:19, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks for the suggestion. I just got rid of that clause, since I don't see it as particularly pertinent. I also noticed in the history of the page that there had been a statement that the church was not yet recognized by Antioch, or something like that. That would have caused all sorts of confusion, implying that there is a process underway. --Sean Lotz 00:20, 11 August "Woof, woof2006 (UTC)

- How is this a Western Rite church? Are they in communion with the Roman Catholic Church?--CĂșchullain t/c 00:02, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

- Hello, CĂșchullain. We are western rite (Ireland is about as far west as it comes:) ). We would be considered to be in the stream of the "Celtic Rite." We are not in communion with Rome. Any other questions? --Sean Lotz 00:21, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
