Note that the proper name has a diaeresis over the "i", as in "Celephaïs". Thus, all references to "Celephais" should be redirected here to be true to the spirit of the intended spelling.

Also, merging "Celephaïs" with "Celephais" eliminates ambiguity and unnecessary duplication.

Harms bases his work on Arkham House, which publishes corrected versions of Lovecraft's writings from the original manuscripts.

I believe that this official name of this article should be Celephais, with Celephaïs as a redirect. According to WP:NAME, the goal is not "to be true to the spirit of the intended spelling" but to use the form under which most people would ordinarily look for the topic. A Google search for "Celephaïs" turns up mostly instances of "Celephais", particularly if you ignore the WP-derived hits.

Lovecraft's spelling should be used in the text. Nareek 20:02, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
