Cello Concerto in E Major (Cassado-Tchaikovsky)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gaspar Cassadó took the liberty in taking four of Tchaikovsky's pieces, from Piano Pieces, Op.72, and preserved it in a concerto. The pieces Cassado used were: Tendres Reproches and Chant Elegiaque in the first movement; Meditation in the second and Danse Caracteristique in the third. No recording of the work exists, even though this concerto was a favorite of Cassado's.
