Celebrate Me Home (1976) |
Nightwatch (1998) |
Celebrate Me Home is the debut solo album from Kenny Loggins, released in 1976 (see 1976 in music). The album, Loggins' first since splitting from Loggins and Messina, represents a slight move away from the folk-rock leanings of his previous recordings towards a more polished, soft rock sound.
Despite featuring production by famed Billy Joel collaborator Phil Ramone and jazz keyboardist Bob James, Celebrate Me Home (eventually certified platinum by the RIAA) failed to make a significant impact on the Billboard album charts, peaking at number 27. Loggins would experience greater commercial and chart success with his next album release, Nightwatch.
