[edit] Hair Color

Who keeps putting blonde as Cedric's hair color? It is not blonde! Follow the BOOKS!!!

We have to take off that picture. Some idiot keeps insisting on blonde hair for Cedric. Unless he's had a dye-job in the after world...

Maybe they'd stop it if we put Brown (Sandy Blonde in Movie), as with the Dursleys' hair colors in the Dursley family article. Noneofyourbusiness 18:19, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cedric Diggory is Pure-Blood

In Goblet of Fire, chapter 37, it says harry met Cedric's parents at Hogwarts. Since only wizards/witches can enter Hogwarts, Mrs. Diggory has to be a witch.

Which does not mean, that Cedric has to be pureblood. Harry's parents are a wizard and a witch and he is still considered half-blood, because two of his grandparents are muggles. Neville Longbottom 21:06, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

Mrs Diggory can enter Hogwarts if she's a muggle as long as her husband and son are with her or are fammiliar with the place. Moaning Myrtle's parents must have come to gotten her body afterall, and they were muggles. And the Dursleys were invited to the triwizrd tournament.

I'm going to change the blood purity section to unknown, based on the above arguements, I appologize if I'm breaking the 3RR, but the history page seems to show no changes in recent times to the template. Emmett5 19:56, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Someone's changed it to "Pure-blood" again. I'll change it back to "Unknown". The people who do this sort of thing should really have a look at the Talk Page. Noneofyourbusiness 17:36, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Birthdate

Where does the birthdate come from? (I mean the day, not the year). I am pretty sure it was never on Jo's website, and I don't know, where else it could have been stated. Please answer here, whoever knows that the birthdate is valid, otherwise I will delete it in a few days. Neville Longbottom 09:46, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

His birthdate has never been mentioned, I don't know how someone could have just added a random birthdate and nobody has noticed it. I removed it, seeing as you mentioned you would delete it in a few days, and it already has been.. Sagitox 12:23, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

Removed birthdate again Sagitox 11:12, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

I don't know about his birthdate, but his birth year should be 1977. Since he had to have been seventeen before Halloween of 1994 to be eligible for the Triwizard tournament, and he was a Sixth Year (derived from Prisoner of Azkaban, which describes him as a Fifth Year), then he had to have been born no earlier than August 1977, for he would have been a Seventh Year if he was born any earlier. 81.137.181.37 15:27, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Prefect

It does state on Harry Potter Lexicon which is gathered information from the Harry Potter books, that he was a prefect, but not in Harry's year. He is three years older than Harry, so when Harry was 14 in the Goblet of Fire, Cedric would have been 17. Prefects are chosen in their 5th year and in their 7th year may be become Head Boy/Head Girl. It seems as if he was a Prefect, but didn't get the Head Boy position. [edit] Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (film)

Why is Cedric's appearance in this film not mentioned in the character info template? He is the Hufflepuff Seeker, and since a Seeker was shown in the match against Hufflepuff in this movie, that has to have been him, even if the actor was different from the one in the fourth movie. Noneofyourbusiness 17:48, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Who did play him in the third movie? Noneofyourbusiness 22:50, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Nobody played him in the third movie. Harry just came up against a generic Hufflepuff seeker. I don't think he was even credited. 81.137.181.37 09:24, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] His Parentage.

I noticed that somebody changed his blood purity, which means changed into Unknown. Actually, This was not speculation, it's true that Cedric is whether Half-blood or Pure-blood because Cedric's father Amos Diggory is Wizard and works in the Ministry of Magic. I have no idea why somebody changed it. In fact, Cedric can't be Muggle-born because His father is already Wizard. At least He is Half-blood or Pure-blood. *~Daniel~* 02:05, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Go back to the top of the page. It says why. But anyway, he is "Half-Blood" because one of his parents is Muggle-Born (not sure which). Tai112 09:44, 16 November 2006 (Eastern)
