Cedric Glover

Cedric Bradford Glover (born 1965) is the Democratic mayor of Shreveport, Louisiana. He defeated the Republican candidate, former city attorney Jerry Jones, in the November 7, 2006 general election. Glover, a graduate of Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport, is the first black mayor of the now majority-black city.

Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco attended Glover's inauguration on November 28.

On becoming mayor, Glover will vacate his seat in the Louisiana House of Representatives. A special election to fill the representative's post will be held on February 24, 2007.
