Cedar Ridge has nearly 300 students in the Band program in all three grades (6th, 7th, and 8th). Two concerts (Christmas and Spring) are held each year and include all three bands. Cedar Ridge also has a Jazz Band and Stage Band. Students in the 7th or 8th grades audition for these bands at the beginning of each school year. The Jazz Band plays at numerous events both at the school and in the community throughout the year. The Stage Band has two major performances each year at the Colonial Mall. The Pep Band is comprised of students in both Jazz and Stage Bands and performs at several school sports events throughout the year. At the end of each year, the Jazz Band, Stage Band, and CHoral Ensemble take a major trip (most recently to St. Louis, MO).
