Cedar Park High School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cedar Park High School(CPHS) was established in 1999 to serve as the second high school in the Leander Independent School District of Williamson County, Texas. The school was built due to the rapid growth in the area, and has since become known for its high achievement in academic and extracurricular activities. [citation needed]

The school's mascot is the Timberwolf, and the colors of CPHS are forest green and black with silver as an accent. Cedar Park High School competes in the UIL division 5A in all sports, and its main sports rival is nearby Leander High School. At the end of the football season, these two match at Bible Stadium in a game known as the Battle of Bagdad, named for the street (Bagdad Road) the stadium is located on. The other high school in the district, Vista Ridge, currently competes in division 4A, therefore the football rivalry does not yet exist. CPHS is also known for the performance of its band.
