CDW Corporation NASDAQ: CDWC, headquartered in Vernon Hills, Illinois, is a leading reseller of computer hardware, software and supplies. Along with its warehouse-attached showroom in Illinois, CDW takes orders from its catalog via mail order, telephone and the Internet.
In early 2006, CDW opened a 513,000 square-foot distribution center in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The Vernon Hills, Illinois distribution center is roughly 450,000 square feet.
CDW currently ranks #343 on the Fortune 500 list. They also rank # 34 on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work for. In 2005 CDW employees donated the money for their holiday party (more than $1 million) to hurricane relief.
CDW has recently announced the acquisition of Berbee, a top tier reseller of IBM, Cisco, and Microsoft products and services. This is CDW's second major acquisition after purchasing Micro Warehouse in September of 2003.
