Christopher P Dubia (September 8, 1973 - ) American Born Fine Art Photographer.
Dubia was born into a military family allowing him the opportunity to experience the world at a young age. The Dubia's found themselves in Germany during one of their many tours and Christopher immediately immersed himself into the arts, experimenting with the classical foundations of the arts. Christopher explored texture, shape, form and realism in his early years, using graphite and paints primarily. It was not until he was in his early years that he picked up a camera. The camera became a natural progression and extension of his visual process. Dubia's first photography exhibition was at the Corcoran Gallery of Art at the age of 13.
The early stages of Christopher's development as a photographer dealt with documenting found objects, urban scenes and his encounters with people. His work evolved overtime into an observation of mans impact on the world. The imagery became painterly, abstract and ambiguous. Dubia's photography today is an exploration of his own internal landscape as well as a dialogue between countries, societies and personal beliefs. His work explores the notion of a seamless world, without boundaries, separation or place in time. Dubia's work can be found in numerous private collections and museums.
Christopher resides in the Washington, DC area.
