King Abdulaziz University started the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in the year 2000 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as a private Institute for Business and Commerce Studies. It has subsequently grown to become the College of Business Administration (CBA) in 2004, including the following departments:
- Department of Marketing
- Department of Information System
- Department of Accounting
- Department of Business Logistics
- Department of Human Resources
CBA is now following steps to create two new departments (Engineering and Law,) thus becoming the University of Business Administration (UBA); however this is rather perplexing as it would no longer be limited to business administarion with the addition of these two fields. The new departments are scheduled to be opened in the 2007 fall semester.
