[edit] Growth hormone treatment for bodybuilding

I think your topic is so good that it deserves its own article. The existing growth hormone article is large and if you review the talk page you will see that we split several topics off into separate articles: Growth hormone treatment, Growth hormone deficiency, HGH quackery, and now Growth hormone treatment for bodybuilding.

The only problem I created is that when I block-pasted your new paragraphs into the new article, I am credited as the author. I explained this on the talk:Growth hormone treatment for bodybuilding page. May I suggest you open the new article, block-extract the original paragraphs, and re-paste them so you are credited with them in the Page history? Best regards. alteripse 07:38, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Mediation

Hello, a request for mediation on Immortal Technique has been made. If you're willing to do this, leave a message on my talk page, briefly describing what you think is wrong, and what you'd like to see changed :-) Dan100 (Talk) 14:42, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Immortal Technique bio

I know you watch the page pretty closely, so I wanted to let you know I updated the bio of him. The previous version seemed to have been copyrighted, and ShadowyCaballero (talkcontribs) has indicated he did not in fact haver permission to post it. I didn't want to revert to earlier versions (as is tandard procedure) since it would have removed so much work. I did it quickly and in part off the top of my head, so if it not to much trouble, you might want to look it over and see if I got most of the material correct. I'm still curious what you think of the link idea on the talk page as well. Thanks for all your work on the page, --Hansnesse 22:19, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Finaplix gold.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Finaplix gold.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. GeeJo (t) (c)  12:44, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding your query

Howdy! Just posting to let you know that I'm not out to get you, it's simply procedure that any unsourced, unlicensed images be served with a notice and, if nothing is done about them, deleted. If I hadn't done it, I'm sure one bot or another would have come through and done the same at some point in the future. You've stated that you don't know the license that the images are available under, and arent certain of the source. In cases like this, it's highly likely that the copyright remains with the photographer or owner of the site that the image is displayed on, and by default such pictures aren't allowed on a "free" encyclopedia. However, if you believe there to be a case for fair use for these images, you can replace the tags I added with {{Fairusein|article}}. Fair use doesn't require attribution, though it's preferred. You do need to give a rationale for the tags use, though; ie that you believe that the image adds significantly to the article, that it's being used for strictly informational purposes, that no equivalent free-license pictures are available, that using the image doesnt affect the ownership of the copyright of the photograph, and that it doesnt affect the ability of the owner to sell or distribute the photograph in any way. [edit] See Talk:Joe Scarborough

I don't agree with Scarborough in any way, and I think his quotes are pretty laughable today, but they were quotes from 2003, and they are not controversy. Reply on that talk page. — 0918BRIAN • 2006-03-18 16:18

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Ripped.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ripped.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 11:07, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

You removed the {{no source}} tag from this image without adding a source. Therefore, I have assumed you do not have, or are not willing to provide the source, and have deleted the image. Just letting you know. JesseW, the juggling janitor 20:01, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Immortal01.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Immortal01.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kimchi.sg 01:01, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Compensator.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Compensator.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kimchi.sg 01:01, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Loose Change on 9/11 page

The inclusion of "Loose Change" has been discussed endlessly on the talk page (probably in the archives now); the consensus was that it did not belong on the main page. It's not a question of ideologoy; the other movies you mention in the edit summary are major theatrical or television releases, while Loose Change is amateur. There is a link for it on the conspiracy page. OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:54, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
