[edit] Usage
- Purpose—be an efficient typing saver
- thereby maximizing the editing time of wiki contributing editors creating new pages.
This template takes up to 16 category names and pipesorts them according to the name or string given as the first argument (perameter). Thus it generates a string of [[Category:{{{2}}}|{{{1}}}]] [[Category:{{{3}}}|{{{1}}}]]... [[Category:{{{16|{{{1}}}]] declarations, that is most useful inside template or category space. *Duplication of another page's category requires merely navigation to the page, swiping the category strings off the page category lists, and returning to paste them into this template. *The swiped category names will already be separated by pipe characters, leaving little to do, save close the curly braces, and choose a first perameter (normally the {{Wm|Help:magic word}}: <nowiki>{{PAGENAME}} is best—be careful not to enclose any leading spaces!)
- If only one argument is given, the template treats that as a category name, and automatically pipetricks the inclusion to {{PAGENAME}}.
- CAUTION
- no newlines are permitted else the page links will be broken.
[edit] See also
{{Cat also}} is used for small sets of see also (list of other categories) for information in the end of text on category pages or talk pages, etc.
-- e.g. - {{Details|A|B|C}} -->
- For more details on B, see A.
-- e.g. - {{Further|A|B|C}} -->
- Further information: A
- e.g. - {{main|A|B|C}} -->
-- e.g. - {{mainBold|A|B|C}} -->
{{See}} (deprecated - use {{Further}})
-- e.g. - {{See|A|B|C}} -->
— Article version of this template (Has technical problem with specifying ':Category' spelt out, and this is far more convenient, as you need never spell it out at all!
