[edit] Wish
I wish most Filipinos got native surnames instead of Spanish ones —Jcdizon
- Would there be fewer IMSCF cases then? —Lagalag 13:35, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes there would be fewer. I hate people with IMSCF syndrome —Jcdizon
[edit] Davide
I have searched repeatedly among the surnames listed under D in the Catálogo (thanks to the fact that, despite the document’s name, the surnames are not really alphabetically arranged), and have yet not been able to find Davide among them. However, according to this page here, the Davide surname in the Philippines can be traced back to no earlier than 1849, thus it should originate in the Catálogo. So anyway, could someone help me finally locate the surname in the document? What are the series of surnames that come before and after it? Would really appreciate it. —Lagalag 15:48, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- I don't see Davide either. I traced it to Al-Andalus putting it in there. --Chris S. 04:25, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ymbrecht
Neither have I been able to locate Ymbrecht. —Lagalag 17:09, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Anyone here here who could tell me where I can find a copy of the list of surnames included in the catalogo?
- Ymbrecht is on page 139. 2nd column. 27th surname. I think. I'm not counting again. Nakakahilo. --Chris S. 04:25, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- Found it, finally! Thanks. —Lagalag 12:07, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
