Cats and dogs is a Wall Street slang used to describe:
- Nonperforming securities, or
- Highly speculative securities.
It is also the name of a 2001 children's film: Cats & Dogs
Those are both derived from the English phrase It's raining cats and dogs, which indicates heavy rainfall.
