Catherine Macdonald-Keir is Editor of Luxury Briefing, a global monthly intelligence report for the luxury industry. Luxury Briefing has subscribers from most major luxury brands around the world and covers fashion, travel, beauty and media from a business perspective (www.luxury-briefing.com). Luxury Briefing also runs industry conferences and parties in London, and most recently put together a conference in New York in partnership with Vanity Fair magazine. She also writes freelance pieces for a number of publications and is regularly quoted in other business press, including the Financial Times and Director magazine.

Cat also presents a weekly request show on hospital radio which goes out to all hospitals around Edinburgh, plays the violin badly but enthusiastically with cult orchestra the Really Terrible Orchestra and sits on the Scottish National Committee and 2008 World Conference Committee of the English Speaking Union.

She relaxes by walking along deserted, windswept beaches, swimming, bending into interesting yoga positions, cooking for friends, relaxing in the Highlands and travelling any exotic destination where she can haggle like a demon in a souk or bazaar.
