Catherine Disher

Catherine Wilder Disher is a Canadian actress who was born in England and graduated from the Phillips Exeter Academy in 1978. She won the Gemini Award for Best Actress for role in the Canadian mini-series Snakes & Ladders [1], and was nominated for her role as Dr. Natalie Lambert in the Forever Knight TV series.
She also starred in the second season of the War of the Worlds series. She was the voice of Jean Grey/Phoenix in the X-Men animated cartoon series, which ran from 1992 to 1997. She was also the voice of Psylocke in the Marvel Vs. Capcom series. In addition to the X-Men cartoon, she has also been the voice actor for Jill Valentine in the third installment of the wildly popular Resident Evil video game series, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis which was released in 1999.
She was a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal.
Disher also provided the voice of the Penelope Lang character in the Teletoon/Cartoon Network animated television series Atomic Betty, and played Betty Fox (the mother of Terry Fox) in the 2005 television film Terry.
She was formerly married to her X-Men co-star Cedric Smith, with whom she had a son, Darcy Montgomery Smith, in 1993.
