Catherine Birnie helped her husband David Birnie kidnap, rape and murder three adult women and a teenage girl. Victims Denise Brown, Mary Neilson, Susannah Candy and Noelene Patterson were all murdered in October and November of 1986. The Birnies were arrested after a fifth victim escaped.
