Cathay Camera Club
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cathay Camera Club, founded in 1982, is the leading (and believed to be only) English-speaking photographic society in Hong Kong. The Club holds regular meetings and competitions, occasional photographic outings and social activities, and holds exhibitions of members' work. Membership is open to amateur photographers of all nationalities and experience levels. Several members of the Club took the photographs for the book In the Heart of the Metropolis: Yaumatei and its People, published by the Royal Asiatic Society’s Hong Kong Branch in 1999. Some past members have gone on to become professional photographers.
