Catharsis (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Catharsis was an anarchist hardcore punk band from Greensboro, North Carolina. They released their albums through the CrimethInc. collective. Their singer, Brian, was editor of the political hardcore punk fanzine Inside Front and later went on with other ex-members of Catharsis to form the band Requiem. Other Catharsis members play/played in hardcore punk bands such as Blownapart Bastards, Undying, Unsettled, Walls of Jericho, Trial and Blacken the Skies, as well as the metal band 3 Inches of Blood and the ska band Otis Reem. The members also recorded a number of tracks of d-beat punk as the allegedly-Finnish anarchist band Umlaut.
