"cult following"? The intro needs to be toned-down at least a little bit. -- Mikeblas 13:55, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- better? -Dwiki 17:44, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- It's better. This part "Owens has garnered a following amongst devoted hip hop fans, partially due to a rise in popularity of Bay Area hip hop" is somewhere between POV, unreferenced, and unencyclopedic. What kind of following? Just people who buy his records, or other artists who bite his style? Where is the rise in Bay-area hip hop documented? How much of a rise? Over what time frame? And so on.
- According to Billboard, the single "Me-O-Mi-O" didn't chart. How could it have pushed Owens to a wider audience, then?

Don't get me wrong, this article needs some researching. I am not a devoted hip hop fan, and I know little of Casual other than his track featured on Handsome Boy Modelling School's second LP. Which is fantastic. When I came to this article, it was well written but massively POV - and un-wikified. I've done as much as I can. Casual probably passes the notability test, but research needs to be done to verify that that's the case. Feel free to winnow this article further down and stubbify it if you like. --Dwiki 21:07, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
