Talk:Cash back
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page should be merged into the existing cashback article, a section of which covers this topic. Some of the details in this page should be incorporated into the existing section in the cashback article. NFH 17:49, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
- the cashback page is up for merger into Loyalty program. There should be a seperate cash back page somewhere, as the main meaning and reason for cash back has little to do with loyalty programs. DMB 13:08, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

- Agreed, but the cashback page now also contains references to proper cashback, i.e. credit cards, debit cards and mortgages. That's why I suggested merging cash back into cashback. My feeling is there should be a disambiguation page for cashback with three main meanings: 1. getting cash back from a debit card etc (which it seems does happen in the US); 2. getting some kind of rebate from a financial product, e.g. credit card, mortgage etc; 3. loyalty scheme cashback. - Yes. I've proposed a split of the cashback page into its separate meanings, since they have little to do with each other. PeteVerdon 01:12, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
