Castle Sunset

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Castle Sunset is a building located at 54 Talcott Avenue in Rockville, Connecticut.

Castle Sunset is a three-story Queen Anne style house with an irregular roof line and diamond glazing on the 2nd floor windows. The grounds are on top of a slope and command a nice view of the Connecticut River Valley. The building is surrounded by an iron fence and a carriage house accompanies the building. The third floor was originally used as a ballroom and is still in its original state with huge chandeliers and paintings on the ceiling.

The building, grounds, and carriage house are currently used by the Congregation B'nai Israel as a synagogue and Jewish school. The carriage house is used as a recreation hall by the congregation.
