Castelfranco di Sotto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pisa in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 40 km west of Florence and about 30 km east of Pisa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 11,789 and an area of 48.4 km2.[1]
The municipality of Castelfranco di Sotto contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Orentano, Villa Campanile, Galleno (partially), Chimenti (partially), and Staffoli (partially).
Castelfranco di Sotto borders the following municipalities: Altopascio, Bientina, Fucecchio, Montopoli in Val d'Arno, San Miniato, Santa Croce sull'Arno, Santa Maria a Monte.
