Castel Volturno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Caserta in the Italian region Campania, located about 35 km northwest of Naples and about 35 km west of Caserta. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 21,444 and an area of 72.2 km2.[1]
The municipality of Castel Volturno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Villaggio Coppola and Pinetamare.
Castel Volturno borders the following municipalities: Cancello e Arnone, Giugliano in Campania, Mondragone, Villa Literno.
