Castel San Niccolò is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Arezzo in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 40 km east of Florence and about 35 km northwest of Arezzo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,830 and an area of 83.0 km2.[1]

The municipality of Castel San Niccolò contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Borgo alla Collina, Cetica, Prato di Strada, Garliano, Caiano, Rifiglio, Battifolle, Ristonchi, Terzelli, and Pagliericcio.

Castel San Niccolò borders the following municipalities: Castelfranco di Sopra, Loro Ciuffenna, Montemignaio, Ortignano Raggiolo, Poppi, Pratovecchio, Reggello.
