Casey Serin

Casey Serin (1982? - ) is a man born in Uzbekistan who at the age of 24 became know as the "poster child for everything that went wrong in the real estate boom"[1]. Over the course of eight months, starting in October 2005 through mid-2006, Serin purchased eight homes, then started blogging about the process of facing foreclosure [2] on several of the properties he was unable to sell before his cash ran out. Interest in his blog at http://iamfacingforeclosure.com developed first among readers of blogs devoted to the United States housing bubble [3]. His story was featured in USA Today, National Public Radio, and the San Francisco Chronicle among other mainstream media.
