Casey Cutler

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Casey Cutler was a drug addict in Arizona who was arrested on 6 June 2005 after sparking off a full terrorism investigation and raid over his attempts to extract ricin from castor oil (which contains no ricin) using a recipe downloaded from the internet. The recipe requires castor beans, but he could only find the oil. In court he pleaded that he was trying to manufacture the poison to protect himself from being beaten up by the people whom he was in debt to.[1] [2]

His case is listed in the "WMD" section of the Senate Making America Safer report.
