[edit] Principle of Evil Made Flesh

It seems there is a minor problem. I updated the page with personnel, and changed the white infobox color to orange according to WP:ALBUMS but you erased those changes and the page looks like it did before. I was just wondering why did you do that? Thanks! Death2 19:28, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey Man. Really sorry; I didn't notice that you'd changed the personnel, so by all means put it back how it was. But I changed the colour of the infobox because it looked awful and I didn't like it - simple as that. You have a particular fondness for orange? Cheers, Cardinal Wurzel 20:37, March 15th 2006

Actually no fondness for Orange but since most of the albums are in orange... And somebody reverted it to orange after you already, somebody allways will. By the way white seems kind of empty, red or purple would look good. Great job on the CoF page. See ya! Death2 20:43, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey thanks - recognition! Ahh I don't care about the colour really. The choices are annoying because they're mostly too dark, so the black writing often doesn't show up very well. I've always felt that the white is kind of the lesser of all the available evils, but whatever... It's not really important. Cheers again, Cardinal Wurzel 20:52, March 15th 2006
Actually, just read the rules about album infoboxes, and there it is - original studio albums are supposed to be highlighted orange. So if we're following the rules, I guess orange it is. Dammit! Cardinal Wurzel 21:07, March 15th 2006

You don't actually have to follow rules, but somebody is going to clean it up because they like everything to be by the book so... I added the personnel, I don't how could you miss them. You probably just reverted to an old version when you were cleaning that Extreme metal thing somebody is putting all the time. By the way I agree with gothic metal regarding categorizing, but I would say they are a bit Black metal. That is just my opinion, and Cradle is Cradle! Categorys are just for those who want to sort them in some way, I don't care about that at all. Rules suck, Satan rules! Death2 21:11, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

If I had my way we wouldn't be categorising them at all (see my protracted discussion with Leyasu!). I don't think anybody's right or wrong on that issue, but in the interests of consistency across the pages and keeping Leyasu quiet I've allowed myself to be persuaded that "symphonic black metal" is the one, even though I think it's as meaningless and daft as all the others. Wiki's a big community where everyone can play, so you've got to compromise sometimes. Unfortunately! Cardinal Wurzel 21:39, March 15th 2006

I do mostly those ordinary stuff: albums, songs, durations and that kind of things because I knowed from the first time that if I started writing something I would be in your position Hahaha! Death2 21:46, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bootlegs etc

A couple of questions if you don't mind: What do you think of those bootlegs from CoF, I created the articles? I saw somewhere that Dani injured his vocal cords while touring for Dusk and Her Embrace, do you have any idea about that? And who is the guy who appears on many CoF albums with the narratives, is that Dani or...? Death2 17:17, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey you, I don't mind at all! Thought your work on the bootlegs was really good - I noticed them the other day. Particularly impressed that you found the covers for most of the demos. Have you actually GOT copies?!
I've heard vague mutterings about Dani damaging his voice, but nobody ever provides evidence. It sounds like myth-making to me, but if we can find some articles that prove it it'd be worth including. I think I remember reading in a Metal Hammer interview (just before Damnation came out) that he'd given himself a hernia or something and had to rest. But I'd imagine that, screaming as he does for a living, he hurts himself quite often! I've always assumed that's why his voice is so different now than it was ten years ago.
The voice I think you mean (at the beginning of Her Ghost in the Fog? "Ohh, sweet Midian"? "Archangel, dark angel lend me thy light"?) is Doug Bradley. He plays Pinhead in Hellraiser (and currently advertises car insurance on TV in England!). But we've got him credited on the main page and on both albums he's on (Midian and Nymphetamine), so I can't believe you would've missed that. The guy who does the spoken bits on Damnation and a Day is David McEwen. He plays Dani's father Kemper in Cradle of Fear, and he's also in the video for Her Ghost in the Fog, miming the Doug Bradley bits. He died last year.
That any use? If neither of those are who you mean, let me know! Cardinal Wurzel 15:25, March 20th 2006
Actually I was thinking on Dusk and Her Embrace, there are a lot of naratives you know "Evening minuetto in a castle by the sea" and so on. The voice is deep, and it doesn't sound like Dani's, so I was wondering who is that? I know about the other guys. By the way there is a new studio report on CoF site (check it out). In it Dani sad "Rosie, our new touring female keyboardist". He probably reffers to Rosie Smith. Shall we update that on the CoF main page? Bye now i'm going off to edit some other stuff. Death2 21:06, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, that's just Dani, doing a growl instead of a screech! Except for the bit at the end of Haunted Shores, which is Cronos from Venom. Don't think there's much to update re Rosie Smith. All we know from the studio report is that she's on keyboards on the tour. It's not even clear if she's on the next album or just gigging with them. We could get rid of "details currently unknown" and replace it with something like "keyboards, possibly touring only" or something. But I'd be inclined to hold out for more info... Cardinal Wurzel 22:09, March 20th 2006
Actually, scratch that - she's NOT on the album and she IS just touring, so maybe she shouldn't even be included in the lineup? I normally stay out of lineup issues, because I can't keep up. You might want to discuss it with Andy5190 - he seems good on that stuff! I'll trust that whatever you come up with is accurate! Cheers, matey. Cardinal Wurzel 22:19, March 20th 2006

[edit] Stupid detail

Thanks! Nice job spotting which name gives you more results, I haven't thought of that. Very cool! I'm changing it on albums also. See you! Death2 18:32, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thornography

Somebody added a name for the new album after Nymphetamine (Thornography? haha). I'm not sure they gave any information about that, check it out...

Yeah, I noticed that. It was the first I'd heard of it, but I checked it out and it does seem to be true. Have a look: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/artists/CradleOfFilth/ Yay! It's exciting! Cardinal Wurzel 21:16, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
You certainly want to emprove the article and keep it up to date. Where the hell did you got the partial song list (probably MTV stupid me). And also watch out for Bitter Suites to Succubi some people like the colors to be by-the-book so try not to make a big deal out of it, cause i think somebody ain't going to let go...(I let it go along time ago, white is just fine, it's neutral) See ya! Death2 21:58, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

It was annoying me that it said "album" but was coloured for "EP", but I've sorted it now. Learning all the time... Have you seen the discussion point on Vempire? I've only just noticed it, but the guy says it's actualy called "V Empire", and he's absolutely right; I checked it on the disc and the official site. Jeez, only been listening to it for six years - you'd think I'd know what it was called! Have created a new page called V Empire (or Dark Faerytales in Phallustein) but haven't changed the links yet. Will see to it tomorrow, unless you want to play about with it in the meantime... Cheers Matey Cardinal Wurzel 22:26, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Nope. Going to bed! I knew it was called V Empire but didn't know why people call it Vempire, just said hey sombody misspelled it... Now you know! Good night and sweet nightmares! Death2 22:33, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Devil Woman

You're probably the person who can find it for me. Somebody said that: in late 2005, King Diamond lent his vocals to a Cradle of Filth song "Devil Woman". I haven't found this anywhere except blabber. Is that true, I found it in the first place on King Diamond page at wikipedia??? Catch you later. Death2 23:04, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

Yes! It's on the second disc of the Nymphetamine Special Edition. The sleeve credits King Diamond with "banshee wails" on the track: I THINK it's him singing "she's gonna get you" and all the sung "ahh ahh ahh" bits. Apparently they originally planned to have Ozzy on the Mr Crowley cover too, but he wasn't interested, or they fell out, or something. That might be bollocks though! Cardinal Wurzel 18:45, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
Ok, you can add that to Nymphetamine, and on CoF page. something like featuring King Diamond. Bollocks! Death2 21:04, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

Upon much vandalism to CoF page this sliped in so check it and then revert if necessary. Similarly, Cradle's cover of Venom's "Black Metal" is often mis-labelled as a cover of Slayer's "Angel of Death". Cradle have covered Slayer's "Hell Awaits", but their version of "Angel of Death" is a myth. This is in a trivia covers section... I dont know what to do with it, it was there when you were removing those songs they didn't covered! Death2 02:10, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

I wrote that - but I wasn't signed in because I was at work. Sorry - not a sock puppet - honest! Someone added Angel of Death and Fear of the Dark to the covers list, so I got rid of them and added that bit to the trivia. It doesn't even SOUND like Angel of Death, it's SO annoying. It must be people that just notice it written somewhere and decide it must be true. If you download Angel of Death and it has a chorus that goes "Black Metaaaaaaaal! Black Metaaaaaaaaal!" you'd think it would be a bit of a clue... Cardinal Wurzel 09:22, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, that myth part confused me! Death2 19:32, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] CoF vandalism again

Hey, matey. I wasn't on wikipedia for a day I had other things to do. Those bootlegs might be true, as always there is a million bootlegs, but those were the most important I expanded that were already in the list. I had nothing to do with the others! I know a couple of admin's they can protect the page (like Bob Dylan's), but first we have to verify those bootlegs and clean them up! Death2 21:12, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

And also there is an image cleaning process going on so take a look at Image:Dani_Filth_red.jpg (somebody wrote stupid things in the picture description page, facking?). Tag {promotional} is not good enough if the source is not provided and if there is no summary why this picture can be used on wikipedia. The catch is if it's a promo photo then source it or take a picture of him at the concert and upload it as free (no license, or copyright). This also goes for CoF picture on the main page. If Andy created it (with some software? from individual pics) than the tag must be changed. If not, and there is no source info the image will be deleted! It's all a part of wikipedia law and copyright laws so... Try to come up with soething or free alternatives (if you don't somebody may sue wikipedia for copyright infrigment). If you have any questions fire at will! Death2 23:58, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I know you didn't have anything to do with those bootlegs, I just wondered if you recognised them as genuine. I've messaged the guy that put them there to see what he says. I tend not to pay much attention to the Dani page (because I don't actually know that much about him, so I'm not in a position to edit) but judging by Andy's previous form he probably photoshopped the red picture and called himself the creator of the image... He seems to have gone quiet lately. Maybe we should just replace it with a different picture - one where we know the source. Cardinal Wurzel 10:06, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Hey matey. It took quite a long night of digging sources for those bootlegs! I verified a couple of them but left only two new additions. Also restored a link you removed during the cleanup process. Never mind, it's not your fault it's that Filthy guy. Also i'll do little more info on those bootlegs. Regarding photos, it's not about the source it's about adding a free image, and putting a copyrighted one "masks" the need for a free alternative. That's what it says on that Help:Image page (or something like that, who would read all that???). I just wanted to notify you about that because I found out that recently and about 10 images I uploaded (not the album covers) were taken down! So if you're going to a CoF show or the promotion of the new album, take a camera shoot pictures and upload them under a free license. That is if you live in Britain? Death2 10:39, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm South of Hell! I'm not from England (unfortunately?), but I plan to come for a visit as soon as I get into the traveling mood (and if I can scrape a couple of pounds). As much as it may seem strange why don't I like the place where I live (refering to unfortunately?), it's not that unusual considering all the factors that you can't see if you don't live here. So how about those pictures? I don't believe they are going to swing by here on their next tour? Death2 13:44, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Latest work

Hello holy Cardinal. Can you please do a little re-writing on Charles Hedger, it was just copy-pasted from CoF website. Also I created a bio article on Robin Eaglestone so expand it if you can. And you can create articles for Stuart Antsis, Paul Ryan (guitarist) and Benjamin Ryan, if you want... Since other less notable musicians have them... Bootlegs are all fixed now so take a look. Bye, yours trully Death2. Death2 16:30, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm a blanker! All the bootlegs cover that exist i think i haunted them down. But go ahead and sweep through 1,000 pages, you maybe find them? Death2 00:12, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Update: I was able to find Live at the Wacken ´99 and The Black Goddess Rises covers. That is pretty much all, so... Wuhuuu! Death2 00:42, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Promotional" Bootlegs

Thanks for the info, you may keep it to what you changed it as. The Haunted Angel 21:38, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Again thanks for the help on the Life is Your Sacrifice page. I'm somewhat new to Wikipedia, although I belive that the column pointing out the mistakes on the album cover regarding the song title's is infact relevant, and should remain. Thanks, The Haunted Angel 22:09, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cradle

Hey you got into another dragon lair... hi hi... Few tips, other websites post what they want if they think that Cradle is deatah metal they'll write so and nobody can tell them to change it (nobody cares). There is no dispute outside wikipedia about Cradle's genre (this above is an example). Plus on allmusic it depends from one author of the article or a review to another. For example a guy that writes Mayhem reviews calls them Norwegian death metallers?? hahaha... And also I don't think Cradle is shuned by anybody except for a couple of idiots who probably still wet in their pants!

Other topics of notice include: DON't cite metal-archives as a respectable source, they have their fair-share of mistakes and vandalism. Sometimes they make small errors like former band members or their real names, and they don't verify info that somebody reports but others who wach specific pages often clean that up and then inform others to keep an eye on that. By the way i'm not sure about Antsis Anstis. Can you check in the booklet? I don't have one... Ahoy matey. Death2 14:28, 20 June 2006 (UTC) Death2 14:28, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Dude, I am so unutterably bored with this genre shit - I'm not getting into it again. Suffice to say that "there is no dispute outside Wikipedia" is nonsense. If every source we use says something different, then there is a dispute. And like I said to the other guy - go onto a Mayhem or Venom or Deicide chatroom and ask if those guys think Cradle are black metal... If they don't kill you, come back and tell me what you found out!
It's kind of ironic that my first ever Wikipedia post was saying "can we not have this ridiculous genre dispute", and now I seem to be the arbitrator of the entire fucking thing. Enough! It doesn't fucking matter!
Metal Archives: I included them as one source of many, just to acknowledge that I'd read it and I'm aware of what they say. But no, I don't really use it for reliable information, although others seem to...
As for Antsis / Anstis - I'd always go with what the official website says. The CD booklets are no help as they only use Christian names.
Sorry if I sound a bit annoyed in this message! It's nice to hear from you - where've you been? Cardinal Wurzel 21:54, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
I didn't want to go (or send you) into another dispute, just wanted to say hello. There may be a dispute, but it's better to say misinformation or not having a general consent over a certain topic. But I don't think nobody is actually talking/disputing about it, and yessss you're right it DOESN'T MATTER.
I've been staying clear of wikipedia because other just make a mess out of our contributions. People are very stubborn and what view they have on something they praise it like their the mother of all knowledge. Adding stupid info, misinformation, not citing sources... I don't want to spend my time on that when their is so much other stuff that I can do, or need to do. I drop by now and then and check some pages (Cradle being one of those). By the way who introduced pics to CoF page, it looks better, try getting another band pic (newer or older to show a contrast). I have no idea about John Richard. What are Christian names? Hail the holy Arbitrator! Death2 22:08, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sometimes...

I read other people's talk pages. Is that considered violation of privacy since it is on the web, acssesible to everybody...? So, you think that London is a hole. Well I'm glad to hear that there are other people who would like to get away from time to time. It's hard to live in a same place for a billion years, you explore many things and then... it's time to move on. Well, we could go on the Wikimania conference! In Cambridge, Massachusetts... maybe... and get drunk! Death2 10:19, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

I don't think nobody is going to check what do you actually edit, although you do a pretty good job so... Ahhh the biggest problem of all...money! If things would be a bit less expensive. You know I would have to work for about 5 months to earn money just for a two way ticket!!!! And where the hell am I going to get for the rest of the expences. And I never got a scholarship in my long years of educational suffering and rotting, and certainly we wouldn't receive wikimania scolarships. Maybe if we start mania editing of wikipedia we can get FREE tickets hahaha! I have the same problem with concerts, everything is concentrated in the capitol (which is a very nice lively city, unlike mine dead and depressive). And the fact there isn't much metal activity over there either. I suppose a horde of various bands goes through England/London. Do you listen to anything other than Cradlerer's (have I spelled this right?). All Hail the drunk. Death2 19:27, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

No, I don't use myspace... I was going to write a bit more but then I realized that wikipedia is not a forum, so before anybody comes in whineing about it here's my mail.adress: smrt dva, tod zwei, mort deux, morte duo, død to, death two. Send a mail when you get some free time so I can send you a reply. Living dead. How about a name change. I was first thinking of Death but that was used, so I used Death2. Now I'm thinking about Death22, you know like Catch22. What is Wurzel, your name, nick name or patented nonsense. No insults intented, just fun. Death2 21:59, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, now that I've read this I remember a band called The Wurzels but I can't remember any of their songs. Check this out: Mangelwurzel or mangold wurzel (Beta vulgaris) a vulgarian hahahaha, is a root vegetable... Its large white or yellow swollen roots were developed in the 1700s for feeding livestock. hahahahahhahahahaaaaaa, Your a mad cow's snack, no wonder they are all going crazy, hahaha. Great one, you gave me a laugh of THE day. No no, not D day! Death2 21:32, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Or maybe just a more reverend version Würzel? --Alf melmac 12:49, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

I didn't know about him! He's got an umlaut - he's a very sophisticated example. --Cardinal Wurzel 13:52, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks. It's nice to see somebody notices when I occasionally revert vandals and the like. :-) Wildnox 04:10, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I've been expecting you, Mr. Machocarioca.

Okay, this is silly. Why are you systematically removing all the pics I uploaded to the Bond pages? A little discussion, in the interest of politeness? There are plenty of character pages that still don't have pics - why don't you concentrate on those? --Cardinal Wurzel 08:56, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Ok, first, forgive my english, I'm from a country very far from yours (I suppose), but I´m a huge fan of bond films as you, I suppose again. Please to meet you. Really, there are plenty of characters pages that still don't have pics and I'm working hard to put pics on it. PICS, characters' PICS, not postcards with characters'names, the picture's names and even the day the film opens, ok? As you did. Just pics in all of it, to be more harmonic. And the high quality pictures I can find, under the Wiki rules. Just that. Let´s do it together, hã? Machocarioca 23:01, 9 August 2006 (UTC) machocarioca

Well, I don't agree with you - I think the individual character posters look really good. But I'm certainly not getting into an edit war over pictures of Bond girls. It's obviously very important to you, so I'll leave you to it. In future though, you might want to use the discussion pages to suggest an idea, before you change someone's work. Looks like you're annoying K1Bond007 as well... Cardinal Wurzel 06:14, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Well, the problem with cropping the Renard card is that if you do that then it fails to meet as "promotional" fair use because it's not what the promoter intended. I think anyway. It may be fair use by some other means, but it's harder to rationalize that. I don't know which images is better to use, I don't really care so long as we have an image, but it would appear that some of the images we were previously using that were fine and properly sourced are being replaced for no particular reason (not your fault). [edit] Concerning Cradle of filth's HW2 cover

Cardinal told me how it is a Samhain cover.

I put it as a misfits cover.

It is a Samhain cover, but the song is legally a Misfits owned song since the Misfits rerecorded it and bought the rights. The song shows up on Collection 2

Sorry for the confusion, i did try and fix the mess.

yeah, i just double checked. if you go on itunes and look up collection two or halloween II itll say it's by the misfits.

gayright?

I notice you've been trying to help add images to this article, Thank You for that, ...however..., our fair-use policy limits the way non-free images can be used in articles. You CAN add fair-use images to articles, but they have to illustrate the article, not just encorporate an element of the article in the image. For info-boxes on biograpies an included picture should be a free-license image if at all possible (for the sake of living persons this is almost always possible). Inclusions of pictures from covers, magazines, etc bay be able to be used to illustrate a SECTION of the article, but generally not the infobox. Thanks, — xaosflux Talk 15:58, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

You said: "I'd like to register some sort of formal complaint against you. How do I do this? Your behaviour today has been utterly over the top and a complete abuse of your position as an administrator. Blocking me was an explicitily punitive measure, undertaken in an extremely high-handed manner after only three good-faith attempts at an edit by me. Repeatedly, pre-emptively saying "this is not punitive" doesn't cut the mustard. Who watches the watchers? I'd like a word with them."

Please see Wikipedia:Resolving disputes. This should provide all the answers you desire but if you would like additional help on getting any part of this initiated, I am happy to help. Alternatively, I'm sure you could find other editors or administrators who would be happy to help you start the process. --Yamla 23:11, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your Block

Hi there. I'd like to register some sort of formal complaint against Yamla for his behaviour yesterday. I believe his blocking me was completely punitive, and that his feeling the need to assert that it wasn't suggests he knows perfectly well that it was. I uploaded a picture, which was removed as having no fair use rationale. I re-added it, providing a rationale, and it was removed again; my rationale being deemed not sufficient. Fair enough. I then added a movie poster instead, believing posters to be incontrovertably fair use, which was where you arrived on the scene and disabused me of that notion. That was the end of it as far as I was concerned, and I was amazed to find myself blocked. I believe it to have been a ridiculously heavy-handed response to three - three! - good-faith edits. I believe it was a complete abuse of Yamla's administrator privileges, and that he seems to be extremely trigger-happy with his ability to block people. He also seemed to have trouble un-blocking me. I've looked at the "dispute resolution" sections, but they all seem unecessarily protracted. I don't want to instigate anything ongoing. I don't want to "begin proceedings". As far as I am concerned, the matter is closed. But I would like to think that somebody is keeping an eye on Yamla to make sure he doesn't abuse his position in this way with other users, and I would just like to be on record somewhere as having made this complaint. Is there any system for doing that? Cheers, Cardinal Wurzel 21:22, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Just got your message regarding your block. It appears from the contribution logs that you and User:Yamla may have worked this out off-wiki, and your block ended up being for ~5 hours. I ran in to your edits around the same time Yamla did, and left them a message about them. I had no intention of removing Yamla's block myself, but did endorse that it be removed once positive contact was made...assuming good faith that appears to be what happened? It does not appear that you attempted to get unblocked earliser via the {{unblock}} request, although you may have done so on the mailing list. Without any other details, my opinion is that this block was handled according to our policies. That being said, all admins are accountable for their actions, and if you feel Yamla has violated policies I'd start with the Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/User_conduct#Use_of_administrator_privileges page. From being on here regularly you should know that RFC is NOT going to come up with any "punishments", its simply away to formally gather community consesus on an issue. It is helpful to record events should escalation of the dispute resolution process ever be needed. If you end up opening an RFC, please leave me a message to let me know if it gets accepted. If you need additional help mediating a dispute, you may want to seek assitance with the Mediation Cabal (informal) or the Mediation Committee (formal). Thanks, — xaosflux Talk 02:13, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice; I'll look into it. C'mon, honestly, do you not think blocking me after three edits for "persistent abuse" was A Bit Much? Cardinal Wurzel 10:17, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Without getting in to it too far, according to the block log you block reason was: "(Continued violation of Wikipedia image copyright and fair-use policies)". Not "persistent abuse", and the messages on your talk state "continued violation of these policies" (being the copyright and fair-use policies above refereneced). Was a block the ONLY was to resolve this, maybe/maybe not. When considering this something that it not related to your contributions is that we have had a LOT of issues with improper use media uploaded by our editors. See in order for us to continue to be "The Free Encylopedia" we rely heavily on the GFDL licensing scheme; it is really THE thing that lets us be a free (in every sense of the word) encylopedia. A signifigant challenge happens when we start including non-free images or other media, as it's less-free. In addition to it making those pages less-free, depending on the situation if we use someone elses copyrighted work (as most images on the Internet will be) it is considered stealing from the person who "owns" that image. If we start violating others copyrights, we can start getting sued, and the project really doesn't have a big pot to pay out lawsuits with, so we would end up shutting down--we really wouldn't want to be in that situation! Our blocking policy was ammended quite sometime ago to allow blocking for copyright violations.
Blocking is usually a messy situation when well-intentioned editors like yourself are concerned, and hopefully this single event won't chase you off from the project. If you never run in to copyright issues in the future, the history of this block should not cause you any longterm stigma, it happens to new editors sometimes (contrasted to being blocked for blatant vandalism or personal attacks). (After thought) We are always working at improving the user interface, and know that on occasion blocks can be confusing. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the instuctions for blocked users at MediaWiki:Blockedtext, please post them at MediaWiki_talk:Blockedtext. [edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Bond WP 5 800x600.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bond WP 5 800x600.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] 3 Inches of Blood

Hey dude, I've noticed that I think twice now, you have move 3 Inches of Blood from before the letters start, to where 'T' would be, for alphabetizing purposes in the Cradle Tour partners list. I was just wondering what would be the best course of action to take here, as usualy when alphabetizing lists are written, the '#' always comes before the actual letters, and so I thought it would make more sense to leave 3 Inches (as their name is 3 Inches of Blood, not Three Inches of Blood) before the letters start. Any thoughts? The Haunted Angel (The Forest Whispers My Name) 14:34, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

True, but when it comes to listing things in alphabetical, it usually lists the numbers first, then continues with A-Z. Lol, even my iPod does it; so that's really how I would do it, but there's no real reason to stuck in a huge edit war over this, so I'll try and see if there is anything I can find see how to figure this out. Lol doesn't matter anyway, just a minor thing. ^_^ At least it's sorted ~ The Haunted Angel (The Forest Whispers My Name) 20:28, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
