Carroll High School is a private, coeducational high school located in Dayton, Ohio. It is run by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati. It is sometimes referred to as Archbishop Carroll High School.

It is renowned throughout the Miami Valley as being one of the better secondary schools in terms of academics, often having the highest test scores in the area. It was founded in 1961, and currently has around 1100 students enrolled. It is the largest Catholic, co-ed high school in Ohio.

The current principal is Mr. Joseph R. Sens.

Many Carroll students enrolled post-graduation in such universities as Wright State University, University of Dayton, and The Ohio State University.

The school is named for John Carroll (1735-1815), the first bishop and subsequently the first archbishop of the United States. The school opened to students for the first time on August 18, 1961. The first class graduated May 31, 1965.

99.4% of Carroll graduates went on to higher education, and military service. Schools such as M.I.T., Notre Dame, Miami University, Ohio State University, University of Dayton, Service Academies, Case Western Reserve University or Wright State University are inculded in the list. Around 56% of each graduating class receieve more than 11 million dollars in scholarships, top of the region.

School faculty includes Ph.D.,former Engineers(P.E.), and M.D.. Most of the faculty have advanced degree and training. Joint credits provided between University of Dayton, and Wright State University.

A school focus on values not only Catholic but also the way to lives. Unlike other local Catholic high schools, Alter High School or Chaminade-Julienne , Carroll' student base is more socio-economically distributed, and has frequently exhibited higher academic performances. The Archidiocese provides grants for those in need. Carroll also provides scholarships to outstanding students.

Carroll is known for its sports.

The teams are the Patriots whose colours are red, white and blue. After years of being in the Mid-Miami League, they joined the Greater Catholic League in 2006. They participate in men's and women's sports, most importantly American football and soccer.

The football team made two final-four appearances in the state playoffs in 2004 and 2005. The men's soccer team had three state playoff back to back final fours in 2003, 2004 and 2005

Carroll is renowned for its huge fan-base. Fall sports have a huge following with many rowdy fans, led by a spirit group called The Flag Patrol.

* 8 teams qualify each year in each division and compete in a bracketed dual meet tournament. This is not the official OHSAA sanctioned state tournament in Ohio, which Carroll has never in fact won. Some states have a larger, official dual meet state championship in additon to the normal wrestling tournament format.
