Carrick, Tasmania

Carrick is a small town in Northern Tasmania about 18 km from Launceston it is situated on the Liffey River. Located on the 'Old Bass Highway' or Meander Valley Highway. The population of Carrick is 312 (2001 census). Nearby locations include Bishopsbourne, Longford and Hadspen. There were two shops, one of which closed down in the last few years. Carrick is host to a number of events including Agfest an agricultural festival and the Carrick speedway.
