Carregal do Sal (pron. IPA: [kɐʁɨ'gaɫ du saɫ]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 116.9 km² and a total population of 10,555 inhabitants.

The municipality is composed of seven parishes and is located in the district Viseu.

The present mayor is Atílio dos Santos Nunes, elected by the Social Democratic Party.

The municipal holiday is the second Monday after the third Sunday of July.
