Carolyn Farb

Dr. Carolyn Farb, also called "The First Lady of Fundraising," is known for raising more than 35 million dollars for charitable causes, and for her trailblazing divorce settlement. She is a resident of River Oaks (neighborhood),Houston, Texas. Carolyn Farb has been called a socialite, a philanthropist, "Queen of Houston," and a patron of the fine arts. Farb raised more than 1 million dollars for cancer research with a single gala (she is the first woman and Texan to raise a million dollars in a single gala), helped to raise more than $3 million dollars in one campaign for the University of Houston, and worked with other notable Houston celebrities to raise more than half a million dollars for tsunami relief.
