Carnosaur is a film series released from 1993-1996. The first film is (very) loosely based on the novel of the same name. Surprisingly, some say, they managed to cobble it and the two sequels (Carnosaur 2 and Carnosaur 3: Primal Species) before the people at Universal had cobbled together The Lost World.
