Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band

The Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band is a brass band based in West and South Yorkshire. It was formed in 1897 as the South Elmsall Village Band, and changed to the current name in 1924.

The Carlton Main Colliery was near Carlton in Barnsley in South Yorkshire. The Frickley Colliery was near South Elmsall in West Yorkshire. Few coal mines in Yorkshire still operate, and those remaining are likely to close.

The band competed in the Yorkshire Regional Championships, winning it in 1992.
