Carlos Renato de Abreu, or simply Renato (born June 9, 1978 in São Paulo), is a Brazilian football midfielder. He currently plays for Flamengo.
Especializing in free kicks, Renato was named by the press and fans one of the most important players in Flamengo's triumph in the 2006 Brazil Cup.
He is former captain of the team, but a fight with a team-mate has seen Fernando reinstated as skipper.
