Carlo Colaiacovo (born January 27, 1983 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman currently with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL.

Colaiacovo was drafted 17th overall by Toronto in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Colaiacovo has been bothered by injuries that have hindered him from becoming an NHL regular, but the Maple Leafs still consider him to be a good prospect. He scored his first career NHL goal on November 8, 2005 against the Washington Capitals. Colaiacovo has become known for his hitting in Toronto, in particular open ice body checks that have been delivered to Bill Guerin and Todd Bertuzzi during the 05/06 season.

On January 23, 2006, Colaiacovo missed a hipcheck on Vaclav Varada in a game against the Ottawa Senators, smashing head-first into the boards. He was taken off the ice in a stretcher. The injury is reported to be a major concussion, and missed the end of the 05/06 season.

Colaiacovo has reportedly recovered fully from his concussion, and is now playing for the Toronto Marlies in the AHL. His latest injury was a hand injury suffered in his first game back into the Toronto Marlies lineup. He is now recovering and getting ice time with the Marlies. On December 4th, the Maple Leafs recalled Colaiacovo from the Marlies. He is expected to be inserted into the line-up for upcoming games.
