Carlo Ceresoli

Carlo Ceresoli (May 14, 1910 – April 22, 1995) was an italian football (soccer) player in goalkeeper role.
Born in Bergamo, he played in Serie B with Atalanta, and in Serie A with Inter Milan, Bologna, Genoa and Juventus.
He was considered one of the most strongest goalkeeper of the 1930s with Giampiero Combi, Ricardo Zamora and František Plánička. With Italy national football team he played the only qualifying match of 1934 FIFA World Cup with Greece and the famous Battle of Highbury. He was 1938 World Champion third goalkeeper after Aldo Olivieri and Guido Masetti. He died at 84 years old.
