Carl W. Hergenrother

Carl W. Hergenrother is an American astronomer.

Working with David Jewitt and other colleagues, he has co-discovered a number of Kuiper belt objects.

He also discovered two periodic comets, 168P/Hergenrother and P/2000 C1 (Hergenrother).

The Asteroid 3099 Hergenrother is named after him.
