Carl Stephenson

Carl Stephenson, also known as Karl Stephenson, is an American hip hop and alternative rock record producer whose style influenced the trip hop genre. He co-wrote and co-produced the international hit "Loser" from Beck's 1994 album Mellow Gold as well as several other songs on the album ("Soul Suckin' Jerk", "Sweet Sunshine", "Beercan", "Fume").

Stephenson has produced several hip hop artists such as Ghetto Boyz, College Boyz, MC Skat Kat, and Raheem, as well as Alternative Rock bands like Beck and devices. He also has his own group, Forest for the Trees on Dreamworks records. "Dream" is an eclectic work of multicultural diversity. Carl Stephenson is considered to be an artist whose music was before its time. ("citation needed")

One of his recent singles includes music from The Young and Elderly Music Recycling Stand Band. The song "I Like to Recycle," is one song out of a brilliant collection of songs regarding the environment. It is featured on a collaborative album with several famous artists and it can be seen here at [1]

Carl Stephenson is working on several projects with several different artists and bands including The Papa Bear Band[2], RedBone[3], Squeaky G from the College Boys[4] and Housewives On Prozac, [5].

Carl is known for his collaborative endeavors and his altruistic nature. He is also working on a collaborative album to help fund projects for the The Tree Of Life Guardianship, a non profit organization that aids in the conservation and preservation of indigenous cultures.
