Carl R. Gray

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carl R. Gray (18671939) was president of the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) 19201937. During his tenure, the UP became one of a very small number of American railroads that paid dividends on the company's common stock during the Great Depression. Gray was instrumental in developing the UP's burgeoning streamliner passenger train fleet, which included the famous M-10000 series of trainsets.
