Carl Degelow

Carl "Charly" Degelow (5 January 1891 in Munsterdorf–9 November 1970 in Hamburg) was a German fighter pilot during World War I. Initially serving in an infantry regiment, he transferred to the air service in 1916. Subsequently credited with 30 victories, he was the last German pilot to be awarded the Blue Max, just a few days before the war ended. Degelow went on to serve in the Luftwaffe.
