The Caribbean roughshark, Oxynotus caribbaeus, is a sleeper shark of the family Dalatiidae, found on the upper continental slopes of the Caribbean Sea, at depths of between 400 and 450 m. It reaches a length of about 50 cm.
The Caribbean roughshark is ovoviviparous, but virtually nothing is known about its biology.
It feeds mainly on fish and bottom invertebrates.
