[edit] History

Cardiff is located in a very slate-rich region, which created the town's early industries. Stone from the mines is rumored to have been used in the constructio of the Empire State Building. The mines and quarries have all but shut down now, and the town has become a farming hub.

Formerly home of Slate Ridge Elementary School, shut down in the 1970s, the building is now used for apartments.

The Main Street was recently re-paved and re-outfitted with utility updates.
