Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Re-Turn of Tippy Tinkletrousers is the upcoming ninth epic novel in the Captain Underpants series, written and illustrated by Dav Pilkey. This marks the third appearace of Tippy Tinkletrousers (a.k.a. Professor Pippy P. Poopypants).

At the end of Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People, Professor Tippy Tinkletrousers (old name: Pippy Poopypants) escapes from the Piqua Citizenship Jail to come back for revenge. The reason he does this is because at the end of the fourth book -Captain Underpants and the Perilious Plot of Professer Poopypants- the professer goes to jail for causing a riot. Then George says "Why didn't you just change your own name instead of making the world change their's?" Pippy takes his advice and changes his name to his Grandfather's (on his mother's side). Unfortunatly, "Tippy Tinkletrousers" is just as silly. In jail, the prisoners laughed and laughed for so long that the professer couldn't take it anymore. He builds the Turbo-Trouser-2,000s and breaks out of jail, which probably let the other prisoners out, to. The book ends with Tippy trying to freeze George and Harold, who scream, "Oh no!" and "Here we go again!" Doctor Diaper may be in this book, because in book #4 (Captain Underpants and the Perilious Plot of Professer Poopypants) they were in the same jail together. It is said that two of the characters will die in this book, though it states it will be a fake death. It is also said that they will face a dinosaur war and giant robot kung-fu monkeys from an alternate reality. In the book they find an abandoned Hyena. Harold names her Zelda. Then, George discovers Zelda is pregnant. Boxer Boy and and Great Granny Girdle will appear in this book. Because the last page of the last book shows them in dinosaur times, the Purple Potty will probably appear in this book to. There is a question of how George and Harold will manage to make at least two comic books, because in dinosaur times paper hadn't been invented yet. Tippy Tinkletrousers will probably never make another appearance after this, since most of the characters never stay for more than two books.

Tippy Tinkletrousers appeared in the eighth book in giant robotic pants. A freeze gun came out of the top to freeze the two cops that laughed at his new name. He called it the "Freezy-Beam-4,000" On the last page of the eighth book, a picture of Tinkletrousers riding a Tyrannosaurus rex chasing the main characters is seen.

Tippy Tinkletrousers - a very, very mad professer.
George Beard and Harold Hutchins - two loveable pranksters.
Mr. Krupp/Captain Underpants - the worst principal ever/the silliest super-hero ever.
Sulu the bionic hamster - small and cuddly...but can pack quite a punch.
Crackers the pterodactyl - swift but silent.
Zelda the Hyena - another girl to the gang.

Because Zelda is a girl hyena, whenever someone hypnotises her, she will do the exact opposite of what they tell her to do. It seems to have that effect on all women, such as Miss Ribble/Wedgie Woman -see Captain Underpants and the Wrath of the Wicked Wedgie Woman- and Crackers the Pterodactyl.
