Capilano Mall is a shopping mall in the City of North Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. It is located on Marine Drive, near the city's western border with the District of North Vancouver. It is one of two major shopping structures in the city, the other one being Lonsdale Quay.
Capilano Mall is the second largest shopping centre on the North Shore, after Park Royal Shopping Centre in West Vancouver. The anchor tenants are Sears and Wal-Mart, along with an assortment of smaller shops, service outlets, and professional offices. The North Shore Community Resources centre is also located here.

[edit] History
Capilano Mall was originally built in the 1960s. Sears Canada was an initial anchor tenant, since joined by Wal-Mart. The mall underwent an upgrade in the late 1980s, and again in 2001 [1]. The most recent renovation added a food court, new entrances, and a major update to the mall's appearance, which dated back to its original design. A movie theatre complex was proposed as part of this project, but has yet to materialise as of 2006.
[edit] Transportation
The mall is located on Marine Drive, a major east-west street across the North Shore. Vehicle access is also available from Hanes Avenue and Mackay Road. TransLink bus routes 236, 239, 240, and 255 (West Vancouver Blue Bus) offer service to the mall, along with connections to Lonsdale Quay, Lynn Valley Centre, and Park Royal. Capilano Mall is also in close proximity to the Lions' Gate Bridge, which connects the North Shore to downtown Vancouver. Access to the Trans-Canada Highway is several kilometres to the north.
