Cape Denison (67°0′S 142°40′E) is a rocky point at the head of Commonwealth Bay. It was discovered in 1912 by the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-14) under Douglas Mawson, who named it for Sir Hugh Denison of Sydney, a patron of the expedition.
