[edit] 3RR
I need to warn you about WP:3RR with regard to Che Guevara. It's hard to tell with all the noise happening there, but you're dancing on the edge. (Note that this does not apply to vandalism, and edits anonymous editors who are sockpuppets of blocked users are by definition vandalism.) --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 00:28, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- I was not actually aware of this rule until today when one user (and their anonymous sock puppet) kept re-adding their inappropriate text and commercial links. They have since been banned. To be honest I think I actually only reverted 3 times though, with the 4th edit being the fixing of unrelated grammer. Either way I will head your warning and let others do the reverting a bit more. [edit] "Advertisement"
Re: your removal of my note on "truth in advertisement" on Kaiwen1's voting page on prohibiting anonymous voting: I wish you would have notified me of your change on my user talk page. In any case, I don't understand why you felt it was inappropriate, since it was clearly on the same topic. I don't want to get in a fight over it, though, so I will add the section to Kaiwen1's user talk page. I should point out that when I first wrote the section, I didn't know how to get to Kaiwen1's own page. -Kasreyn 03:44, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I thought it would be widely considered inappropriate for a paragraph advertising one side of the vote to be located on the actual vote page. Such an addition would not be permitted on the page of an official Wikipedia vote. I apologise though for not consulting yourself before making such an alteration to one of your user talk pages. [edit] Battlefield 2 cleanup
I went ahead and did a cleanup of the article. Your help in checking grammar, spelling, and expanding the article would be very much appreciated. Regards, Flooch 06:09, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AfD for Right- and Left- wing terrorism articles - have your say
Please take a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Right-wing terrorism and also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Left-wing terrorism and have your say, if possible. Thanks.Xemoi 00:21, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Imaginary friends
Thanks for the edit, although I'm not sure your concern is warranted -- I was actually this close to calling him an ignorant Korean slut, to quote Saturday Night Live's lovely turn of phrase. These petty Korea-Japan squabbles really, really piss me off... Jpatokal 04:10, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Iraq War Poll
Just thought I'd let you know that you forgot to sign your vote on this poll: [1] -- Mr. Tibbs 19:46, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, did't realise. I've signed it now. Canderra 20:28, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Economy of the United Kingdom
I found, through the Retail Sales section of the ONS, that retail growth was 1.1 in 2005 compared to 2004. If you look at the weighted average for 2004 was 118.7, which went up to 119.8 in 2005. I don't know about the Second World War, but it's definitely the slowest in the dataset (which goes back to 1986). The real problem is that measuring retail sales over a 60 year period is rather complicated, as the data may simply not be available, due to different statistical measurements. So I think the statement should remain out, but just wanted to point out that the data is available. Cheers, Roche-Kerr 10:54, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

- Ah great, It was really the "since World Word II" part of the statement I was concerned with as I do not dispute that 2005 yielded low retail figures. Canderra 14:11, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I can actually go and find the figures (as I have several books on interwar economics). The hypothesis is not entirely impossible, as during both world wars Consumption did not expand in Britain (due, obviously, to wartime needs). This is generally why it's said 'since World War II' in newspapers, by politicians, etc. However, the statement is problematic if data is not found since, say, 1946 =) While Consumption may have been flat in 1944, it would need to be shown that it was not worse in say, 1978 during the strikes.
