I adapted this directly from the US version. I think it would be very helpful to have under all Canadian MPs and Senators. Once in place, it would largely take care of itself. It looks like it will be a lot of work, so I hope people are willing to pitch in whatever help they can.

[edit] Problems

These templates, especially the Quebec and Ontario ones are much too large. They also violate the new Wikipedia:Categories, lists, and series boxes that state templates should only be used for actual series, not simply for related groups. Related groups are much better served by a categories. - SimonP 03:24, Jun 14, 2005 (UTC)

I have to agree with SimonP on this. The US model isn't readily adaptable to Canada, and some of the Canadian boxes are way too large for the articles. No American state has a congressional delegation anything like Ontario's number of MPs and senators; even California, with the largest congressional delegation, has just eight lines of House Reps (compare Ontario's 20 lines of MPs and Quebec's 15). But alternatively, the territories and PEI, fr'ex, are way too small to justify having their own categories. The "Parliamentary delegation" articles also can't be formatted anything like the American ones are. So we're going to need to come up with a very different way of handling this than the model being applied to US congresspeople. (Oh, and "delegation" isn't standard terminology in Canadian politics, either; it should really be "caucus".)
One possibility: break the Ontario and Quebec templates down regionally (e.g. separate templates for Northern Ontario, Eastern Ontario, Central Ontario, Western Ontario and Toronto, etc.) Another: stick to categories, but group the territories as a single category. Another: do lists instead. Yet another: skip it and stick to the way they're organized now.
