I dislike one phrase in the lead - "They served as the equivalent of painted postcards for those able to afford the price." I can't understand how Canaletto's vast canvases may be compared to postcards. Should we remove this? --Ghirla | talk 18:03, 23 December 2005 (UTC)

I am pretty sure that the correct day of birth is October 18, not October 7. FlyPanAma 04:44, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
